GVFD Rural To Get New Truck
The Board of Directors of the Grafton Rural Fire Protection District and the members of the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department have agreed to work together to complete the purchase of a new rural pumper/tanker truck. The Rural Fire Protection District committed up to $300,000 towards the purchase with an additional $190,000 from the members of GVFD. GVFD was able to utilize some of the funds from the annual fundraiser to complete the purchase of the new truck. In addition, a $25,000 grant from the North Dakota Forest Service helped to offset the cost. The truck will take roughly 18-24 months to be built.
